About HowThree

HowThree has been an idea that has been several years in the making.

The idea started in 2007 while I was assembling a table at my apartment while I was in college. I thought to myself what if the steps could be easier. I knew that manuals were just too hard to use. The text was small and in multiple languages, the steps were mis-labeled and everything was in black and white.  I thought that video might be a better solution.

The roots of HowThree trace back to my work with friend and co-partner, Blake Paulson. His idea for ipodhowtovideo.com has been such a success for his store that I thought we should try this with more products and see what happens.

The idea itself started as a general how-to site, but it has since changed considerably. Very smart judges in the Minnesota Cup helped us refine our market. That refinement pushed us into the consumer electronics space. After receiving calls from friends and family on multiple consumer electronics problems, I knew this was the right solution.

Please stay tuned for some very innovative ideas in the consumer electronics video space.  We have not only derived new methods for turning videos into profit centers, but also new methods to learn from the consumer. HowThree is not just a business it is a passion. We want to make consumer electronics usable for everyone regardless of technical know-how.
